Hello Coordinators. Our first project as a web community was a big success. I'm waiting for Tiny Verdadero to send me the list of those who attended. My rough count told me that there were at least 50 who were there. Best attendance was from the Class of '84 (Connie's), and the class of '82 (Sheila's and Carolyn's). Dina and Randdie, we should have added the year of graduation to our name tag. I didn't notice how many classmates you had there. Gold and Natalie, we missed seeing representatives of class '80 and '85. Butch at least was able to bring three or maybe more classmates, the most famous being our mayor. Mayor Bing's presence certainly gave the occasion the importance that Mrs. Verdadero deserved. My sister Julie (Class '86) represented her batch, as did Tonz and Butch Longno (Class '75). Thank you gid for coming with or without classmates. I'm glad my class President, Lindy Uytiepo attended with nurse Agnes and pizza maker Antonia Alonso Aragon.

I spent a sleepless night and got no rest during the day of the 5th just so we could present in a little book, the letters, stories, pictures and other contributions to tell Mrs. Verdadero how much we all appreciate her. I even included Sheila's Nov. 5, 1:07 p.m. comment below. Could have done more but I had to work with a borrowed laptop that processed very very slowly. Anyway, Tiny knows she can download material from this website to add to the printed pages. People can still send in letters and stories. Do encourage your classmates to add their letters and stories to the Dear Mrs. Verdadero page.

The book we gave had empty pages for people to write on so there were additional messages there. Give me a few days and I'll make and post a PDF file of the printed portions of the book.

Dina, Randdie, Sr. Myrna, Anthony and Jonali, Connie, Butch Longno, Butch Gerasmo, Ditas, and Tonz coordinated the affair with me. Congratulations to all of us for pulling this off. I wonder why Anthony and Jonali haven't joined the Coordinators circle yet. Ditas also isn't here, neither is Butch Gerasmo and Butch Longno.

We need to thank Jerry Sy, Class '82 for the lechon; Class '84 for the big beautiful birthday cake, the corsage, the photography, and the party coordination; the Visitacions took care of the Videos and being masters of ceremony plus the balloons that made the foodcourt more festive; Tiny Verdadero contributed the pictures and of course made sure her mother did not stay home instead of going to LCC. Randdie, Ditas, and Sr. Myrna took care of the venue, a special tarpauline made for Mrs. Verdadero, rice, drinks. I saw Sr. Myrna giving her month's allowance to Ditas as her contribution. That was really touching.

I miss working with everyone already. Thank you all.

Hi Nat, I invited ourselves to Agnes's home last Sunday. From her conversation with Mary Jane, I realized there's intense sadness in her to leave Bacolod for good. While sorting thru all their belongs, she just took it all in and poured her heart out, she cried as hard as she could. All their plaques and recognitions she donated, realizing these things we cant take with us to eternity but only the memories. Bacolod is home to all of us, and someday, I will also say my final goodbyes to the place where I had my fondest memories from my childhood and where I fell in love. The tribute we're about to give her im sure she will greatly appreciate. More paba-on memories. My heart flies out to Bacolod right now.

From Mary Agnes Verdadero - dos Remedios:

Good day fellow LCCians!

It was a wonderful warm-up get-together last Sunday, November 2 at our home in Manila. Thank you, once more, to Sheila and Rommel Macatulad, their grown children, Arielle and Rico, Rosing Antiquiera and her kids, Nickie and Banjo, and Jane Labayen. Sorry Rosing and Jane, your married names have slipped my mind again. You made Sunday a very happy day especially for Mommy Judith. We look forward to another LCC Manila chapter get-together soon.

As for today's tribute to my mom, I say a million thanks to all of you, especially to Tita Andrea Lizares-Si for initiating this very meaningful and important event.

Have a very happy day!

Mary Agnes Verdadero - dos Remedios
