Welcome to AB/Education Department

Welcome to our group for Bachelor of Arts and Education. We're probably the smallest group of students in LCC but that shouldn't mean we can't be strong as a group. For one, we need to ask ourselves about the value of our college course and our getting it in LCC. Is Bachelor of Arts still relevant? Is Education? Perhaps this group can help its members think on these. If you're a graduate of LCC Bacolod's Bachelor of Arts/ Liberal Arts course or Education course or you were enrolled for some semesters in either of these courses, please join this group by clicking on the "Join group" at the upper right side of this page.

Why the clownfish as our logo? For one, I needed a logo to be able to create this group. I had this super cute little clown-fish picture taken in Apo Marine Sanctuary (Neg. Oriental) by my son. The Clownfish reminds me of the animation "Finding Nemo," Nemo being the clownfish who has to travel through the big, dangerous ocean to rescue his father (I think that's the story). Anyway, Nemo is this little fish who becomes an adventurer, explorer, and a hero of sorts. Isn't that just like us? Actually, if you'd like to suggest a different symbol, please post it here and when there are more of us, let's select a symbol to represent AB and Education. One thing about the fish and it's medium, water, both represent fluidity, adaptability.

Hi Anne. Welcome to the AB Education group here in LCCians of the World. Do you have contact with any of your classmates? I wish we can make our group grow so that AB Education alumni can have better contact with each other. As I wrote in an earlier post, I don't even have contact with my classmates.

Hello mga kasama sa Liberal Arts and Education. I studied A.B. in LCC but have very little contact with my classmates and other who studied Liberal Arts of Education in LCC. Really need your help to campaign for attendance in the College Alumni Homing on March 8. Even if you're not Bacolod based, you can prod the LCCians that you know to attend. Pa consciensya sila so they'll realize the importance of Foundation day. Imagine a 90th Foundation Week with only a handful of Alumni and with very little fun-fare. Imagine a 90th Foundation day that is remarkable because it is so unremarkable. The school administration does what drum-beating it can but in court, that's called self-serving evidence. In the end, the best evidence of any school's success, of any school's worth, is the success of its alumni and the honor and prestige that the alumni give to the school.

The challenge to give our Alma Mater a celebration worthy of her 90th birthday is primarily a challenge to us the alumni. We can't fail LCC without failing ourselves.
