Ari Langas Langas lang ha?

What will you Do If You Were The Next Philippine President?

Me:
I''ll make the transportation FREE for Every Filipinos,
from Pedicab, Tricycle, jeep, buses, or even planes
and ship.

Why? Because Transportation is a big factor in affecting
our economy and social norms. Prices of Basic Commodities
will lower down because it is the government who will
fund the transportations, going to work is easy, evryone can
travel wherever they want, internal tourism will reach its
focal point, decreasing the stress of people will now be
possible. Can you imagine this?

How? Make the drivers as part of the governement employees,
instead of funding some freaking useless projects and pork
barrels, our governemnt can pay our drivers via daily salary,
drivers can be controled and monitored properly, they can
become individuals who enjoys profesional works. Subsidize
all the vehicle franchises, control operators and so forth.
Of course! Government can fund this by just merging all agencies
for this.

Fighting Corruption is just one but securing the transport sector
as a free access to all people, Im sure poverty will be eliminated,
dirty politics can be controlled properly.

I bet Philippines will become a first class country where
transportation and fuel crisis is but a tiny problem.

Then after this , we can fous more on Education and so forth.

Can you imagine this proposal for the next president?

How about you?

wwwwwaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh,ha,ha,ha,toink! toink! toink!
Well, great migu "john" and migu "jay r" but for me it is a very serious question.
So before I answer this, i ask a questions:
"Do we have enough knowledge to run this country?",
"Are we smart enough to accept the responsibility?"
"Criticism, threats of assuming such position?"

But since your asking my opinion..now its my turn,ha,ha,ha,
I would like to run for under the "common man policy". Yeah; I called the Common man policy because I believed that nearly 80% of the voting public was common folk just like myself (ultimo lng ko ya nga mamumugon sng barangay bata).
Trough this battle slogan "common man" i set aside the negative attitude of every filipinos "AKO MUNA".

First; I would to give back the government to the filipino people where it belongs because it says,
“We are the Filino People"…”not we the government". Should be equal for all its hard working workers, students, disabled and elderly as much as it can be without stepping on toes of the rich who seem to think they can control the rest of us. In order to reach this goal, incomes would be cut the "AKO MUNA" attidue.

Second; We feed our hungry and we house our homeless. We do this by taking charge of abandon buildings and houses, and employing those in need to repair and update them to livable standards. Standards that fit into something that is better than what it was before. Those that work on these projects will be given housing as payment for their hard work.

Third; As for those convicted of violent crimes like rape and murder (especially child abusers and killers) there will no longer be a life in prison sentence, but executions on the Day of Judgment. We spend far too much money in taxes keeping them alive and living on us when they should really pay for their crimes with the ultimate price. Such a ruling might help sway future acts by other wannabes.Yes, this will include the criminally insane because the number of those who get help to return to society usually end up returning to do the same crimes over. As another act to this new law I would also include on death row drug dealers of lethal drugs like coke, heron, shabu, marijuana and etc.

Lastly; Tax allowances will be given to those who provide to our survival like farmers, the military and food suppliers to the hungry as well as those who donate to the reconstruction of the housing for the poor.

“BAYAN MUNA” and not "AKO MUNA". In all decission making I would put God Almighty as primary back up.

Like what they said in their previous statements, well is not an easy question that perhaps you might answer with a blink of an eye! Besides, with all these problems we're facing right now, I wonder why there are lots of politicians (esp. Presidentiables) were prematurely campaigning thru media adds and some were doing tv commercials wherein fact 2010 is far away from reality? Well it's the art of politics!

Wow a lot of excellent ideas! When I came back to the Philippines back in April 2009 I was able to stay for over 4 months and have travelled in some parts of Mindanao and Visayas...I have also compared the way the Philippine Government run the country versus here in Canada and United States and other European countries that I have visited.... I have compared lifestyles, culture and even down to public transportation... in Paris, they have an excellent train system, even in Ukraine, most of it is funded by the government... here in Canada, most public transportation is funded by the government....

Everytime I go back to Canada from the Philippines,,, all I can think of, is leaving my people behind, sometimes I wonder whether I made the right choice making Canada my home.......... and I also wonder if I were to stay, what would be my contribution as a human being to my people.... ..... and when I was in grade 6, I actually dream of becoming a leader in my community.....

If I were the next Philippine President, what would I do?????? hmmnnnn...... I always wonder what would I do??? they call that here in Canada a million dollar question.....!!!!

When I think of what is going on in Manila and Northern Parts of Luzon when natural disaster strikes and a lot of people were burried and drowned alive..... it made me think that actions needed to help the people.....

1) We need a system that works,,, what I mean is from the smallest barangay to the governors office, we need to have consistency and planning.... especially in giving out permits to build houses.... I am sure that there are zoning laws in every city and that has to be adhered by everybody..... We need a strict government.... hindi yong puro padulas lang,, kesyo kamag anak o kumpare ,, bigyan ng permit.... zero tolerance for error.. that is the only way to enforce these laws.... also anyone breaking the law should be given harsh punishment,,, once there is a precedent,, i am sure people would think twice in breaking these laws...

I had the pleasure to live in Davao for a few months,,,,,, and people there adhere to laws and obey the laws because it is enforced by the government....it is safe from hold ups, snatchers and people do not litter all over the place... so it is a matter of consistency and following the system.... also the best part is their police, people respect their authority for they do not abuse their power...... most officials lead by example and people respect that.

2) Attitude - if we want our country to be succesful,,,, we the people have to change our attitude...... and our attitude develops at home and our school system... as a leader,,, one of my priority is,, educating the parents and improving the school system....... ,,, encourage people to become the owner and not the worker....... teach people to be creative at a young age... when i went to Paris,,,, the government spend money in art and music... kids and teens up to 16yrs old are free to go to any museums, including the Eiffel Tower... I think if kids are busy with music and art, it allows them to be more creative and does not leave time to do drugs or crimes. Everybody should be able to enjoy at affordable price all these museums we have in the Philippines,,, All public schools should have affordable art and music program,,, instruments and supplies should be provided or portion of it should be paid by the government....
- in attitude, also include family planning,,,,,, the president should emphasize family planning.... and citizens that follow these rules should be rewarded monetarily.... these is not the time to be having 10-18 kids... especially if you cannot provide for them...

With the attitude, also with the government officials,,, this is our country,, once the president is voted by the people,,, whether opposition or the same party,,,, we should have a common goal,,, that is to support the president... if we all work together as a team, we can achieve greatness.... in United States once the voted the President,, everybody is expected to cooperate.... Also, we need to realize that the President is not perfect, and if your life is under a microscope all your poor judgements and mistakes are enhanced and emphasized, it is important to focus on what we can do and not our mistakes...

3) Create balance and harmony.... what I dont get and I get so angry is how can we have a school system (for example if one studies nursing)... it will cost approx P500,000 to P800,000 for a 4 year nursing course and once you graduate you will only earn P6,000-15,000 ... i find that rather disturbing..,,, and one person rationalize that as, nurses does not want to stay here in Philippines, they want to work abroad and that is where they can make money....??? but how about for those who stayed behind???? don't they deserve to be compensated??? also the teachers,,, most teachers that taught in Public schools only make P10,000- P15,000 a month..... ,,, and they are expected to teach our kids?? hmmnnn i have issues with that.... how can they focus to provide service if they themselves are struggling financially.... they are absolutely not compensated for the hardwork that they do......... our professionals should be compensated for the service that they do....

how can we do this,,,first lets review the people in the city hall or in the government office..,,, we can cut cost by making sure they do what they are suppose to do.. how many times have you ever visited a governments office and waited for several hours and most of them just chat with each other..,, I would create a team and all their role is to ensure that positions that are not needed will be removed, and salaries of government officials are not excessive and will also hire and independent audit team to audit expenses and projects.... will ensure that all workers are efficient and do not waste time and tax payers money.... as the president it is my responsibilty to my people that each peso is spend wisely... i am sure that will free up some money to give raises to teachers and nurses....workers should have comparable pay to match the standard of living..

4) Lets preserve our nature... we should have tougher laws for illegal logging or even for legal logging... people that litter... here in Canada if you are caught littering you are fined $60 and that is equivalent to P2,500 .... local government should have proper garbage disposal... and has to be regulated.... each barangay should have contest on the cleanest barangay... zoning laws should also be enforced even in the small barrio... tree planting should be encouraged and get the teens to be involved,, instead of them playing video games,, get them to enjoy outdoors and put them to work to become productive... from grade school, there should be a subject all about preserving our natural resources, kids should be taught to be echo friendly and parents should teach their kids to recycle and to throw garbage to proper disposals..... this is going back to basics and it should not be difficult...

I also notice that even for short distance, people use tricycle,,,,,which actually creates so much pollution...for short distances, people should learn to walk... it will save you money and extend your lifespan..............and preserve the environment......

Invest in infratructure,,,, build roads and public transportation such as trains,... it will be less traffic and a lot faster. .. make it more affordable so that there will be less jeepneys and tricycle.......less traffic... ..,, this should be a priority....

5) Reach out to the poor,,, help them to fish.... each local government should have projects that they must do and must be checked on a regular basis whether it is implemented or not.... we have to be accountable and responsible to the task given to us, as a leader, we should also have a report card to ensure that we are doing what we are suppose to do... just like in school... it is important to educate and create jobs for the poor so that they become self sufficient... the government should have money to lend out for small business owners also have vocational courses for people that cannot afford to go to school to be able to learn skills so that they can earn money...

6) President should be visible in the media and to the people by providing update of how the country is doing and what are the progress of the projects and the challenges.... ,,,people should be informed of what is happening so that they themselves is accountable if things does not work out....
7) Create a sound banking system,,,,, if the banks are making money,,,,they will be able to lend money for housing and loans for large items.,,, economy will move faster,,, more taxes for the government to fund projects.
8),,, Unity should be demanded from all aspects of the government and from the people, laws should be enforced, and order must be restored..... that is the only way we can achieve greatness,,, and Philippines will prosper..............
