When I was in elementary I asked my History Teacher about the date of Philippine Independence because I got confused on the meaning of independence for I know that there were many independence days in the Philippines. - I really bothered this situation.
When I entered high school was again I asked of the same question in my Philippine History subject. Untill my high school level I didn't know the exact meaning of it; It was good to say "Araw ng Kagitingan" today?-it has lost its significance for in the past we call it as “the fall of Bataan. (HA,HA,HA,HA---FUNNY). In this country, we always celebrate our downfall.
When I was in LCC; there an article of one of my favorite President. (Doisdado Macapagal) He says: "A nation is born into freedom on the day when such a people, moulded into a nation by a process of cultural evolution and sense of oneness born of common struggle and suffering, announces to the world that it asserts its natural right to liberty and is ready to defend it with blood, life, and honor."-INDEPENDENCE - - Daw nakuha man ang BUKOG sa TotunLan ko ba,waaaaahhh balo naku sa meaning
Now; I need your opionion about several question that still get my attention.
Really We Have "Independence Day"? - - -INDEPENDENCE OR DEPENDENCE?
ha,ha,ha..........very interesting topic because if we recall of what happening on July 4, 1946 - (if I'm Right)
Many filipino's demoralized by the war and suffering rampant inflation and shortages of food and other goods, in preparing for the transition to independence but sad to say that this issues remained unresolved.
Unresolved for we are dependent by Western Country, and for me if we still depend for other country we cannot claim totally 100% the INDEPENDENCE.
