LCCians of the World

Your LCCian Community of Friends in the World Wide Web

This is to acknowledge the coordinator, and to those who are responsible in creating this web site. Thank you so much for your dedication/time in getting LCCians all over the world to net work.
In 2006, my class '66, celebrated our 40th alumni homecoming. From then on, we vowed to make the trip back home every 5 yrs to participate in the alumni homecoming celebration. Our 45th is up in 3 years, "2011."
Some of class '66 graduates (Bacolod chapter) participate, or attend the alumni homecoming each year.
I was in Bacolod for 1 1/2 months (May-July '08). I bumped into Echel M. class '71
(classmate of my sister Nena Navarro) at SM. Wow! What a sight! She, and other class'71 were dining with an out of towner class'71 who was visiting the "good old Bacolod."
I feel such a warm feeling to know that my classmates in Bacolod are, often in touch with each other. They can make a one day plan to meet, have lunch (supposedly, 11am - 1pm), at someone's house, usually Isabel Sanz, but the gig continues on to the early evening...guess what they do...talk, and talk, and talk ;-). Now, that's what I call life for the graduates of class'66.
Most of us, have children...all grown up, and out of the house ;-), and I can not think of one better way to revive high school friendships that were on hold while we were raising families, and to now make new friends, to those who were not in "our particular groups," then. Making the time to keep in touch with each other, spending time reminiscing good, energized years at LCC, what a sight in our minds. We may not be aware of it in a grand way, but we each helped each other, mold our juvenile growing years...together. My experiences at LCC, and my thoughts now; everything put together that made me what I am now from that growing pain era:
MADAMU GID NGA SALAMAT!!!
Just don't forget, binuro is not easy to find anymore. Central market is where I used to buy them...nada, and nada again. Ok, this is it, after a few trips back to C.M., Burgos M, and Libertad M. I finally gave up the hunt. I told the taxi drivers, "tuloy" are not only becoming extinct, and the few that survived, migrated to Indonesia! What a corny humor this brain of mine can create ;-). Atty. Cora, went out on her own hunt, and complained ;-). I didn't want to say "I told you so ;-). What a gal. Thanks Cor.
My 5 grandchildren help me feel "younger", than I already am; and, WOW! now, this web site! YEAH!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for making me feel "MORE YOUNGER!"
Always...love, prayers & peace,
Terry"ble" > ;-)

Oh, by the way...the photos...the car bump ride at the Robinsons, I tricked these girls: Isabel, Eva, Alice, Lillian. I bought the tickets, and I had sooo much fun watching them having fuuuun ! No go for me, my lower back will not endure such pressure. Movie, after that. Hmmm, can't even remember what movie we saw ;-). Join us folks, we're the fun generation!

Hi Terry (ble),
Thank you so much for inviting so many of your classmates and for appreciating the creation of this website. I wonder why no one ever started something like this before. Credit for the idea of getting LCCians together goes to Elma "Butch" Alcantara Gerasmo (Class 68). Butch suggested that LCCians, especially those abroad, should be able to network and get together so they can be a force to reckon with (and of course, also help LCC and other LCCians). Other alumni from other schools are able to do so much for their alma mater. Ang LCC, daw class by class lang ang get together so the only purpose and result of these get togethers is to draw the classmates together but up to there only. Nugon because there are LCCians everywhere and everyone's sure to benefit if you get to know each other.

Our class is celebrating its 35th homecoming on September 7. This time, no one from outside Bacolod is making the trip home to attend. But like your classmates and Echel's classmates, the class of '73 also meets frequently throughout the year and regularly without fail for a class party after Christmas. I hope that we'll have lots of balikbayans for our 40th homecoming and that after that, all of us can plan to come home at least every 5 years for class reunions. With this website, planning reunions will be so much easier.

Hope we can have that here, Terry.

Are you and Atty. Cora classmates?

You make me feel younger too. Thanks.
