2. Who were the first three Augustinian Sisters who are considered forerunners of LCCBacolod's educational thrust?

Fellow LCCians, let us exchange ideas and fast facts about our beloved school...B=)

Kabudlay man sini nga test, Randdie but I just SAW the answer to the three core values. Those who say they are smart or are genius should be able to find out were. AS to the three sisters, there were 5 sisters mentioned in the early history of LCC Bacolod, plus Mother Rita Barcelo. Can't guess which. The new graduates might know. Tell Sister Myrna to offer a prize for whoever knows the answer (wala mangkutanay or cheating, ha). Kidding lang.

hahaha... in fact the three core values of Unitas, Caritas, and Veritas have evolved into six, and now we call it the CUTIES: Compassion, Unity in Diversity, Truth, Interiority, Excellence and Service...It's good to hear from new generation of LCCians calling themselves "CUTIES"...

For the three sisters, well I guess Mr. Sa-onoy should join us here so that he could verify whatever historical facts we might discuss here :=)

Here's the next question: "WHAT IS THE LONE STANDING LIVING TREE IN LCCB" which we now tag as "The Tree" - has been a witness to the blossoming friendships of past and present-day LCCians (hehehe quite a subjective Q, but I certainly believe everyone would agree with me)... te ano bi? :-)

I like this!
I saw the three core values in the seal and I think I know the three sisters - one of them has the same name as my sister Maria Theresa (except my sister's is spelled without the "h").
The tree? mmmmm...Randdie is right, it is a subjective Q, I'll say the one near the cathedral steps...the C.
I can actually picture our LCC as I type this reply.

Wow!!! Sir Rodolfo gets a vivid picture of the campus... what is remarkable about the Calachuchi Tree is...it has been uprooted and toppled down by several typhoons (Ruping, I supposed)...but thanks to the strong posterity sense of the late Lola Luing (Nay Luing to most)...the Tree was replanted...and now continues to serve as "a witness"... FACT: Class 1987 donated P10,000.00 just to ensure that the "Tree" gets lushed up until the Centennial Year of our school :=)

Malagas ko sabat a. Pagkadto namon sa LCC sang August 2007 (that's the first time I met you, Randie hehe), nagdabong na liwat ang calachuchi.

check this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/xstrider/2175402532/in/set-72157603660...

here is the whole set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/xstrider/sets/72157603660623311/

diri kami nagahampang sang kinder kag ang V branch sang calachuchi masyado pa ka taas para sa amon. higante gid ang calachuchi. then ginakigan kami ni Lola Luing magsakasaka kami didto. dira man namon ginpahibi ang isa namon ka-classmate sa leyns-leyns (holen game). ginabuhuan namon ang palibot sang calachuchi kag maghampang leyns. daw amo na sya ang official basketball court sang leyns-leyns sang una. tanan nga bata dira ga hampang leyns. the few areas sa LCC quadrangle nga may duta :-D .. ang alternative ara sa dalum sang mga pinetrees (may duta man nga square).

yun lang. :-)

Three Core values?

1. Limit your intake of Tikboy' pork barbecue to thrice a week.
2. Respect the calachuchi tree at all times.
3. Sneak out and enjoy a movie in State Theatre once in a while. Or visit calle Nueva...

Plus three more....

Ang barbecue ni Tikboy wala ga-mahal. Ga nipis lang nga ga nipis. Ma-high school na ang mga bata ni Tikboy ang barbecue ara man gyapon a. Hehehe Nice.

Ang natingalahan sang ex-gf ko (misis ko subong) dira sa Bacolod - ang pandesal or ang teren-teren nga tinapay gina-sugba.

Ti diri gani sa Manila ang ice cream ginapalaman sa tinapay.

Hehe. I feel naustalgic when I remember the calachuchi tree. The only shed na makapahandong during CAt drills. The sole tree that witnessed the aging and development of LCC. I miss the days na every hour may prayer, every lunch may rosary kag before buhi may 3 o clock prayer pa guid.hehehehe
